Self Promotion Edit

This is also another idea that i have decided to produced for this self promotion project, this has been constructed with the original illustrations, rather that the simplified versions. I decided the beginning illustrations would be more appropriate with my personal style. i just feel its just a nicer cleaner cut version and does resemble more skill within the peice.

Self promotion Illustrations
These are the latest illustrations to add to the collection of unusual illustrations that i create. These are simply drawn off topic but resembling my personal style. I'm very fussy when coming down to my final choices due to the fact i want to show that what i put on this piece really dose present what i am about.

Self promotion

This is one of my first piece that I produced this is a simplified from the original Mock up that I had in mind, the complicatitions to the other design was far to complex to give someone to work out so I stuck with this version. I feel that the design is far to simplified and Im going to experiment with using the original illustrations.

Quantum Disproportion
Review
The foundation course has increasingly developed my skills through out the time I have spent with each project, together with giving me a diverse selection of challenges. For starters at the beginning of the academic year we were given the project ‘inside and out” which helped me push my creativity with mixed media. Parts ones and two have clearly shown me how I can be more expressive with materials and back it up with well-documented and honest responses. Part two was significantly the most important part of the year to me as I was unsure about where my future lay within the art world, having predominantly produced work of Fine Art nature. However I have realized that I work best when faced with a commercially viable task, so therefore chose to specialize within the area of Graphics Design, as a result, developing my skills in this area, whilst still retaining a sense of my existing creative ability.
Project concept
As outlined above I have become increasingly interested in design, although still feel the need to continue my love for Fine Art painting. With this in mind I have decide to create my own contemporary gallery. I will create the logo, identity and general stationary, as well as the promotional material for the current exhibition such as posters. The exhibition will be of my own work, as this will allow me to promote myself as an artist, whilst pushing and developing my design skills. To enable me to complete this project I will need to undertake thorough research into my family’s traits, characteristics, thinks that make them tick and with this develop a portrait, which will in some way bring that together. They will be following a cubist sort of concept but its some optical illusion that is based on polyhedrons, and each flat surfaced polygon will be a selection of the human face. The color choices included in this will be based on characteristic moods and social compatibilities. To develop the design element in this task I will gather leaflets and other relevant material from galleries so I have some reference to refer to when I consider the typography, use of space and palette choices. I do feel that this is a opportunity to build something with great inner meaning, depth to me which will hopefully mean that my outcomes will be very expressive and eye catching. The idea that I decided to put forward is, I am going to create portraits that involve making them disproportionate.
Evaluation
Throughout the project I will keep a sketchbook, which will clearly document my reflection my analysis of my research development, experimentation and realization, I shall also undertake regular group critiques, to receive regular feedback on my project to allow me to make the right choices in developing my skills.
